Here ya go Ty
Tome Of Mysteries!
Account Cancelled
So I cancelled my WoW accounts yesterday. Yes, the apocalypse is upon us. They don’t expire for a couple of weeks, so I’ll be playing them until they are deactivated (hey! I paid for it already, so I plan to use it!). Warhammer Online should be coming out around September, so I plan to get some projects completed while waiting for its release. I recall having a 3rd bedroom in the house when we purchased it, and I’m sure if I look hard enough, I’ll find the new paint stops right where I left it.
Phobias
I have an irrational fear of stinging insects. There I said it. I was trying to find the name, but the only thing I could find is Cnidophobia, which is the fear of insect stings. I don’t think that’s my fear- I just don’t like those bugs buzzing around in my face and landing on me.
D&D 4th Edition: Now with 35% more MMORPG action!
So the latest version is out, and quite a few die hard fans are excited. Who can blame them? The machine is back in full swing developing better, faster, stronger books for our declining US dollar to purchase. Jodi and I sat down with the Player’s Handbook to prepare of a game with her boss and husband to try it out. It looks like WotC has been cooking up quite a few great changes in their kitchen. And we have the secret ingredient:
Change the game so it is more like an MMORPG.
In fact, I would go so far as to say that some of the changes make it seem like it is trying to compete with the World of Warcraft roleplaying game for which game best captures the same playstyle as the most popular MMORPG (10 million people can’t be wrong!). But looking past the Warlock, class specs, cooldowns, and increased level progression, I found my favorite addition to date: The Adventurer’s Kit. Finally, I can just toss in a few gold and get every damn thing I need. 15 seconds of writing versus 10 minutes of pouring through lists trying to decide whether or not I need candles! Thanks, WotC.
